Medina, beach, recommended riads and storage solution so you don't have to transport your equipment.
The choice of accommodation depends above all on your material logistics. The riads of Medina are pleasant, but rarely practical for storing wings, foils or boards. Seagull therefore often recommends sleeping in Medina and leaving the equipment at the beach storage.
The right accommodation for riding is not just a bed close to the sea. It is a practical starting point for the whole day: breakfast, journey to the spot, return after the session, shower, rest, dinner in the Medina and possibly a second visit to the club.
For many travelers, the Medina therefore remains the best choice: you really enjoy Essaouira, while keeping the beach close enough to ride every day. Storage forms the link between these two worlds.

Alleys, lights in the patio, markets just a stone's throw away, Gnawa music in the evening. The Seagull spot is a 10-15 minute walk away. This is what the vast majority of our customers do.
More convenient logistically if you have a lot of equipment, but less character. A few modern hotels exist in this area.
Medina + storage with us: the simplest compromise to enjoy the city without carrying your equipment.
Central patio, sea view terrace, reliable Wi-Fi. Friendly atmosphere.
Moroccan cuisine, rooftop lounge, 24-hour reception, airport shuttle.
Rooftop happy hours, cooking classes on windless days.
3 minutes from the beach, SPA on site for recovery.
Facing the ocean, panoramic view, fresh fish restaurant.

Before choosing a riad, simply ask yourself where your equipment will sleep. If you rent, the answer is easy: he stays at the club. If you come with your own equipment, check the stairs, taxi access, the size of the rooms and the possibility of leaving equipment in storage.
If you come mainly to experience Essaouira, dine in the Medina, walk in the evening and enjoy the riads, sleeping in the ramparts remains the most pleasant choice. The trip to the beach is short, and it becomes very easy if your equipment stays at the club.
If you are on a very sporty schedule, with two sessions per day and little interest in nights out on the town, the beach side may make sense. You lose a little charm, but you gain a few minutes on the transitions between rest and session.
The right compromise also depends on your group. Friends who don't ride will often appreciate the Medina better. A group of independent riders with lots of equipment may prefer practicality. In both cases, anticipate storage before booking.
Atmosphere, restaurants and walking distance to the club.
More direct for sessions, less central for evenings.
Equipment secured in the club, approximately 20 meters from the water. Access with the team.
Indicative selection from €30 to €110 per night depending on standing and season.
Some yes, others no. Even when it is accepted, narrow stairs pose a problem. We recommend planning storage from the start.
Yes. The Medina is lively and safe. As in any city, common sense applies.
