Essaouira works very well for riding. Some days, the surrounding spots offer a better window: more swell, less wind, or simply a wave more suited to your level. Seagull organizes outings to Sidi Kaouki, Imsouane and Moulay Bouzerktoun with transport included from Essaouira beach and local briefing before the session.
The decision is made in the morning, after reading the wind and swell. If the window is not suitable, we modify the plan or cancel: your safety takes precedence over planning.
1h15 to the south, one of the most famous waves in Africa. A long, slow and regular straight line: ideal for working on curves, linking sections together and understanding how to ride a wave along its length. Recommended level: intermediate, or confirmed beginner if conditions are mild.
30 minutes to the south, large beach exposed to the Atlantic swell. Beach break more powerful and more consistent than the bay of Essaouira: waves better formed on certain days, more power under the feet. Recommended level: intermediate or confirmed beginner with 2 to 3 bay sessions.
The run begins in the bay: steady wind, flat water, clear markers. After the island of Mogador, the coast opens up to the direct Atlantic swell. Coastal waves form, 0.5 to 1.5 m under normal conditions. Return transport from Sidi Kaouki included in the price.
The run from Moulay is decided even more cautiously. We do not start with uncertain forecasts; the decision is made the same morning depending on the wind, the swell and the actual level of the group.

The fishing village has kept an authentic atmosphere despite the increasing number of visitors each season. Arriving early makes a real difference to the quality of the line-up.
Transport to and from the club, conditions briefing and spot advice are included. Equipment is not included by default, but surf rental is available at the club before departure.

Beach break more powerful and more consistent than the bay of Essaouira: waves better formed on certain days, more power under the feet. This is the logical exit when you have a few bay sessions and are looking for a little more engagement.
We leave early, we take advantage of the best hours, we return before the afternoon. Transport and briefing conditions included.
Coastal run of approximately 30 km towards the south. The side-shore wind from Essaouira naturally pushes in this direction. Semi-exposed coast, some sections with waves depending on the swell of the day. Allow 1h30 to 2h30 of riding.
From the north, a more challenging run. More exposed coast, more swell and coastal waves, more changeable conditions. Reserved for advanced kitesurfers, strong in waves and comfortable with the unexpected.
Downwinders are reserved for experienced autonomous riders: controlled turns (clean jibe, tack possible), ability to manage waves of 1 to 1.5 m, known safety procedures (depowering, self-rescue, body drag). We do a diagnostic session in the bay if your level has not been validated beforehand: it is not a test, it is common sense.
For surf excursions: swimsuit, waterproof sunscreen, bottle of water. We take care of the equipment if you rent from us, otherwise bring your own.
For kitesurfing excursions: your complete equipment (kite, bar, harness, board). Rental possible if you do not travel with your equipment.

We check the wind and wave forecasts every morning. If the conditions are not suitable for the planned spot or run, we adapt the plan or cancel free of charge. Contact us 48 hours in advance to confirm. In high season, let us know earlier if you have fixed dates.

For Sidi Kaouki, yes if a few sessions in the bay have already been done. For downwind kitesurfing, only experienced independent riders.

We do not recommend it: a full day in session plus the journey is a lot physically. We prefer to alternate according to your schedule.
