Essaouira is a solid kitesurfing destination, but the program depends on your autonomy, your tolerance for waves and the period. A beginner rider and an independent rider do not do the same week: a program that is too ambitious on paper can become frustrating if the conditions do not follow.
We can build a week with courses, rental, downwind if your level allows it, accommodation advice and adjustments according to the actual forecasts of the stay.
Who is a kitesurf camp in Essaouira for?
An Essaouira kitesurf camp can be used to learn from scratch, to resume after a break or to transform an intermediate level into real autonomy. The beginner needs repetition, security and supervised sessions in the bay. The already independent rider is looking instead for rentals, spot advice, a well-chosen downwind and an honest reading of the conditions.
We therefore do not sell the same program to everyone. Before talking about downwind or more exposed spots, we look at your real level: upwind, management of release, transitions, self-rescue, comfort in chop and ability to ride with other riders around.

Intermediate
Mix of independent rental in the morning and courses targeted on transitions. Excursion to Sidi Kaouki if conditions allow an accessible beach break. Downwind if the level is validated with the team.
Advanced
Independent outings in the bay, Sidi Kaouki and Moulay excursions depending on the weather. Downwinds organized according to wind and swell. Long sessions and structured recovery.

Bay course
To get started, go over the basics or consolidate the waterstart. Our certified instructors use walkie-talkies for real-time corrections.
Independent rental
For riders capable of going upwind and managing their safety. Rental park maintained each season, wing exchange possible during the day depending on the wind.
Downwind
Sidi Kaouki or Moulay depending on weather, level and safety. Return transport included. We do not start with doubtful forecasts or an unsuitable level.
Accommodation
Riads recommended (30 to 110 €/night) and storage to return light after the session. Medina + beach storage is often the best combo.
Why validate the level before a downwind
Downwinding is often what dreams are made of in a kitesurfing trip to Essaouira, but it is not a classic tourist outing. You have to know how to go upwind, manage a fall far from the starting point, relaunch your wing at sea, respect distances and keep energy until the finish. Even an independent flat water rider can be surprised by chop, waves and fatigue.
Before leaving for Sidi Kaouki or Moulay Bouzerktoun, we go through a diagnostic session in the bay. If the level is good and the weather is good, we organize the transport, the safety briefing and the route. If it's not the right day, we prefer to offer you a useful session rather than a risky outing.

Almost. There may be 1 to 2 days without sufficient wind depending on the period and the weather. We adjust the program: surf excursion, Medina visit, active rest.
We do a diagnostic session in the bay before organizing a downwind. This is non-negotiable for your safety and that of the group.
Yes. Beach storage (€5/day) is for this: your equipment remains in the club, about 20 meters from the water, in a secure area.
